MSC Nastran 2012 from MSC Software is a comprehensive suite of virtual product development tools consolidated from MD Nastran, simplifying the product offering by providing customers a single MSC Nastran platform. With this suite, users can simulate a comprehensive set of events from manufacturing to failure. New features of linear contact and frequency response functions now available to the company's MSC Nastran users help them solve assembly models and dynamic problems more efficiently and with improved ease. The implicit and explicit nonlinear solver technology accessible within MSC Nastran also helps address highly nonlinear problems and through the analysis chaining account for pre-state more accurately. PSA Peugeot Citroën has extended its simulation environment to use MSC Nastran for nonlinear analysis at various development sites.
