Sidehead option for vertical turning centers

A sidehead option on MAG vertical turning centers uses a 250-mm by 250-mm (10-in by 10-in) square ram to deliver 34,000-N (7600-lb) thrust from the optimum angle for efficient turning of tall or flanged parts in vertical orientation. The device is available on machines with a table size of 1250 to 3500 mm (50 to 138 in). It is capable of handling parts up to 3700 mm (146 in) in maximum diameter and 3300 mm (130 in) in height. Providing a 1250-mm (50-in) x-axis span and 1900-mm (75-in) z-axis, the sidehead option offers a traverse rate of 20,000 mm/min (787 in/min).
