An end-of-line camshaft inspection gauge from Adcole provides upgraded submicron accuracy and high-speed production monitoring of up to 200 parts/h. The Adcole 1310 camshaft gauge can measure 10 or more parameters including radius, profile, taper, crown, timing angle, diameter, velocity, acceleration, run-out, roundness, and concentricity. Providing 0.1-micron resolution per data point, the camshaft gauge has been upgraded with dual computers, Windows XP software, and GE Fanuc motion controllers. A Eurocard PCB format with diagnostic test points improves reliability and ease of maintenance, and a display allows operators to visually monitor throughput with green, yellow, and red plots depicting in-tolerance, reaching control limits, and out-of-tolerance status. Featuring gauge room accuracy, the Adcole 1310 offers user-programmable measurement parameters and improved part setup changes.
