Dome lamp kit

  • 20-Oct-2011 03:38 EDT

Grote Industries' dome lamp kit was designed for use in U.S. military high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles (HMMWVs). The kit uses Grote's flexible LightForm LED lighting film to create a thin, low-profile LED dome lamp that does not project into the cabin, preventing hang-up risk or impediment to ingress/egress. Lamps lack a bezel or lens to add weight or thickness and do not require mounting fasteners or surface hole drilling. A peel-and-stick adhesive backing is offered for installation, and kits include front and rear lamps with independent on/off switches. Rugged water- and shock-resistant lamps operate in a standard LED WhiteLight illumination mode as well as in tactical or blackout mode, which uses a combination of color LEDs for visibility outside the vehicle while limiting detection.
