Systron Donner Inertial’s (SDI’s) SDD3000 digital quartz MEMS single axis rate combines an advanced sense element with digital signal processing technology to provide performance in noise, bias stability, scale factor linearity and stability, and vibration rectification. Delivering low 0.01°/vhr angle random walk noise and stability, the SDD3000 outputs angular rate and BIT data continuously. It features an 8 in3 (131 cm3) size, 0.5 lb (0.23 kg) mass, and very low power consumption. Offered with two standard connection protocols (RS-232 or RS-422) and data rates (600 or 100 Hz), the SDD3000 is versatile and can be easily integrated into any system, claims SDI. The SDD3000 is suitable for use in the automotive, aerospace, and off-highway markets for vehicle stability control, flight control, targeting, camera stabilization, and payload stabilization.
