New measurement requirements incorporated into the Euro VI and EPA 40 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) part 1065 emissions testing regulations have driven the design of AVL’s SESAM i60 FT. This newest member to AVL's iGeneration family, and successor to the SESAM-FTIR, is a complete sampling and measurement instrument for R&D as well as for use in regulatory compliance. Features include user selectable 1 and 5 Hz scan rates; optimized 5-Hz fast-response, low-flow sampling system; and user-selectable flow configurations with fast system response time of ~350 ms to < 1 sec while maintaining low extracted flow; and diagnostic reports for regulatory compliance and data quality.
