ASM Sensors’ WB12 tape extension position sensor extends sensor life in applications that require pulleys. The sensor provides a measuring range of 118 in and features a stainless steel tape coiled on a precision drum, providing a high degree of flexibility. Because the tape has smooth surfaces, the risk of icing is reduced during cold operating conditions. An integrated tape dust wiper automatically cleans the tape during operation. The series comes with standard 0.5-10 V, 0.5-4.5 V, and 4-20 mA analog outputs as well as SSI, CANopen, and CAN SAE J1939 digital outputs. The shock- and vibration-resistant design is suited for use in harsh environments.
